Fw: Volunteer Couch

Here's the picture. :-)

Evan brought an inflatable couch. It is now known as the "volunteer couch". Only those who have volunteered lately may sit on the couch.
But beware! Volunteers for new projects are drawn first from "the couch". :-))

A Great Great Great Time!!

Hello Everyone!

We are having a great great great time!! Our second day of pure sunshine and no rain, maybe even hotter than California! It was such a lovely day!

Everyone is doing fine and having a good time with all of our new friends. I think we like the Germans the most and they like us a lot because we have an inflatable couch. We are meeting other countries as well.

Tomorrow we have Hike in Camp where we will travel off site for the day and hike about 10 miles in Sweden. The day after is the day I have Mock United Nations. Again I will be off site at the Parliament building in Kristianstad. I am so excited for this but also nervous because my partner Mikey and I are the only two scouts representing the USA. There is a National BSA Committee that is here and they are all really nice people and have never stopped loving and supporting us.

The time we have here is just flying through but we all love every second of it (:

The Gateway Sofa

Hi Everyone!

It has not rained here today and we are praying it does not

We are all doing FANTASTIC and having so much fun especially since we now have sun!!

We are currently having a lunch break and then we are going back to finish our activity of the day, then we have free time. I was selected to be a UN Rep for America with one of our other Vice Presidents and we have a meeting tonight so I'm really excited for that!

All of the scouts here are so nice and friendly and we have met some really fantastic people. We have eaten with a UK group, a Welsh group, a Czech group, and a German group and tonight we will eat with Holland. We have a blow up couch under our gateway that an advisor brought and so we all sit under our gateway on the couch or benches and talk to people walking around. The couch is a big hit with everyone who walks past us. I think last night we had 5 different groups stop and chat in 10 minutes, so in conclusion, we are a pretty popular bunch!

The USA Contingent brought us new backpacks because the ones we had weren't doing so well :/ but these new ones are amazing and we are all so thankful!!

Mom, can you take some of this message and put it on FB for parents because Mr. Rooney said parents are worrying about their kiddos, but we are all FINE and DANDY!

Ciao, Jill
